A Fresh Take on a Familiar Space

Sometimes the most rewarding projects come from unexpected connections. I met this client when she purchased an armoire I was selling for another project — and that chance meeting turned into something special.

She had lived in her home for years and was ready for a change. The first floor had always felt dark and heavy, filled with brown tones that made the space feel closed in. Over the course of a year, she repainted, slowly curated furniture and decor she loved, but wasn’t quite sure how to pull everything together.

That’s where I came in. She gave me a beautiful blank canvas — a freshly painted, light-filled space — and trusted me to bring cohesion and warmth to all the pieces she’d collected. I styled the layout, hung the art she selected, and pulled everything together with her accessories and personal touches.

The result is a serene, cohesive living area that truly feels like her. Seeing her reaction — emotional, joyful, and completely at peace in her “new” home — was the best part of the process.

This project was a reminder that sometimes transformation isn’t about starting from scratch — it’s about seeing what’s already there, and helping it all come together.
