For the Love of Home

Nolan Home is a family-owned business, lovingly named after our son.

Our story began in 2017 when my husband, Josh, and I met while working at a beautiful senior living community. Over the years, I held several roles there, but my longest and most meaningful position was serving as the community’s Move-In Coordinator. I’ve always had a passion for interiors and organization, but it was in this role that I truly saw how overwhelming and emotional moving and setting up a new home can be, especially for seniors and their families. During that time, I had the privilege of helping countless residents and their loved ones navigate the many details involved in making a new place feel like home.

Josh, meanwhile, worked in building services and quickly earned a reputation as a true jack-of-all-trades. Exceptionally handy and highly skilled in both technical and mechanical work, he could fix or build just about anything — and still can.

As our relationship grew, we discovered that we shared not only a strong work ethic but a deep drive to create and build something of our own. Even while working full-time (and often overtime), we poured our energy into various side projects — from home organization and landscaping to power washing and helping clients tackle all kinds of home improvement needs. Word of mouth and our dedication kept opportunities flowing in.

Our most rewarding side venture came when we began sourcing, restoring, and reselling quality furniture and home décor. We developed a keen eye for antiques and vintage designer pieces, learning how to restore them to their former glory and find the right buyers. Through this work, we connected with wonderful clients and new opportunities naturally followed — from staging homes for realtors to decorating and styling spaces for homeowners.

We quickly discovered that our strengths complemented each other perfectly: I brought organization and creative vision to every project, while Josh brought the technical skills and resourcefulness to bring that vision to life. Together, we’ve built something special — rooted in creativity, trust, and hard work.

For a long time, we were hesitant to leave the stability of our traditional jobs. That changed with the arrival of our son, Arthur Nolan. Becoming parents gave us the courage to turn our passion into a full-time business. We wanted to build a life that allowed us to spend more time together as a family and include Arthur in as many of our adventures as possible.

Today, Nolan Home is dedicated to him — our greatest joy and the inspiration behind everything we do.
