Memory Care Studio - Completed in 4 Hours

This memory care studio was transformed in just four hours through a thoughtful blend of new and familiar elements. Working closely with my client’s family member, we incorporated newly selected pieces — including a cozy bed, dresser, and nightstands — alongside meaningful furniture and décor from the client’s previous apartment. We carefully chose his favorite art pieces and coordinated with installers to ensure they were displayed in the perfect locations.

Moving can be a challenging and emotional process — especially when it’s prompted by the need for additional care. My role extends well beyond creating a beautiful room; it’s about creating a sense of home and easing the transition.

Behind the scenes, I assist with the practical details that make a difference. This includes doing laundry so fresh clothing is ready, making the bed with freshly laundered linens, dusting and cleaning treasured items, and organizing toiletries to ensure every necessity is on hand. I also provide clients with a detailed checklist of essential items — from toiletries to household basics — to prevent last-minute stress.

My goal is to make each resident’s new space both welcoming and functional, often going far beyond the scope of a typical decorator. I strive to be an ally and source of support for clients and their families during this important transition. It was an honor to work with this family, as it has been with so many others in similar circumstances.
