A Latin-Inspired New Beginning

This project helped a longtime homeowner transition into a one-bedroom apartment while preserving the pieces and memories that mattered most. We selected meaningful furnishings from his home and paired them with newly sourced pieces — including a TV credenza, dining set, desk, chair, and bookcase — to create a cohesive and comfortable space.

Inspired by the client’s years living in Central and South America, the design blends modern furnishings with his collected art, décor, and travel pieces. A strategic layout allowed us to carve out a functional office nook in the bedroom, proving that small spaces can still support everyday living and productivity.

Thoughtful styling brought the apartment to life. Artwork was carefully placed to create harmony throughout the home, while the living room was anchored by a subtle fishing motif using the client’s paintings as focal points. Personal objects and family photos were layered in to ensure the space feels warm, personal, and deeply reflective of his life and travels.

The result is a thoughtfully curated apartment that shows downsizing can still feel expansive, meaningful, and beautifully lived-in.
